I could say that I am a farmer’s son, a project leader, a dancer, a citizen of the world, a grandfather, a sound maker, a reader, a singer, a friend of, a human being of flesh and blood, and so on and so on, almost an infinite number of qualifications or personalities.
The question is whether these qualifications capture the essence of who I am, or whether these are more the outer forms? Rather, I have the idea that all those personalities, in the reality in which we live here and now, are expressed in the time and space that is offered in the essence of who I am. And this essence, which we all are, I want to name as Love, Light, Silence, Infinity; my own Source connection; not born, immortal.
Is it important to make this distinction? That’s how it feels to me more and more. It feels like we are making a shift to a new world, not knowing what is coming because it will not be something fixed, but moving/fluid. It is increasingly important to live from my essence, where my guideline is less my personality traits, but more what I am from my essence; Not to be limited by what someone else thinks of me and knows me, but to dare to act on what is deeply necessary and right. And to be able to enjoy life in it.
When playing the sound experience concerts and sound sessions I experience a Oneness with the sounds, limitless, connected, flowing, without a fixed goal, open, silence, vibration, lightness. I trust that the sounds may be received through everyone’s own source connection, and that this reception can lead to an essential experience on all levels; physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I don’t really set an intention, but rather experience a confidence that the sound concert may be born with me, and with the participants. This creates an encounter in the moment, with the sounds, and ultimately with the inner silence within everyone’s self.
The first soundhealing concerts I was allowed to play (in 1998) felt like coming home, as naturally as the sounds were allowed to arise and develop from within myself. For a number of years I have had the pleasure of mirroring and playing with a wide variety of sound healers from Dreamtime Healing Circle Amsterdam.
